JOB FUNCTION
Under the Head of Section, successful applicants will assist duty officers in their various positions.
Responsibilities
Applicant will:
- Assist in monitoring incoming messages on a specialized network.
- Assist in the reception, processing and distribution of data including Geo Information and surveyed data.
- Assist in the distribution of data and the generation of statistical reports to both national and international agencies.
- Provide support for the officer on duty in the discharge of his/her duties.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a superior.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualification & Experience
Applicants must:
- Possess a minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with a background in Geographic Information Systems (covering areas such as Cartography, Surveying, and/or Spatial Data Management), Computer Science, Engineering (preferably Aerospace, Geodetic, Geomatics, Computer Information Technology/Information Systems. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
- One (1) year post National Service experience in the above fields.
- Applicants for selection shall pass an aptitude test(s) and oral interview(s).
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
The applicant must:
- Must be versatile and be able to adapt and adjust to new changes and requirements, including specialized software.
- Possess strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Must possess interpersonal skills and be an effective as well as efficient team player.
- Possess good working knowledge in computer software, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Must be prepared to work in the shift environment including day, night, weekend and public holidays.
- Must be prepared to work outside of Accra.
- Be declared physically and medically fit.
- Age: Not more than 25 years at the time of the deadline for submission of the application.
