Our activities in Ghana cover three priority areas: Climate and Energy, Just Transition; Sustainable Economic Development, Training and Employment, and Peaceful and Inclusive Societies, which focuses on good governance.
Project Brief:
With funding from EU, Germany, France and Sweden, GIZ together with Expertise France and FIIAPP supports the AfCFTA negotiation and implementation process through technical support to the relevant AU organs. The project in support of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) works in close collaboration with the AfCFTA Secretariat of the African Union (AU)

Qualification Required & Experience
- Master’s degree in economics, International Trade, Trade law or equivalent.
- Citizenship of one (1) of the AU Member States.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and French. Fluency in other AU official language is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 5-7 years in trade policy, AfCFTA and regional integration issues.
- Demonstrated relevant professional experience working on trade and environment issues.
- Solid understanding of regional and continental economic integration issues in Africa.
- Solid understanding of Trade, women and youth linkages
- Experience in development cooperation is an asset.
- Experience in working with AU or other regional organizations is an asset.
- Flexibility to frequently travel
