What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Key Account Manager: Cocoa to join our AGRO team. The candidate will focus on medium- and long-term account management and face-to-face sales of products, protocols, services, and solutions in the cocoa business segment. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs, sales strategy development, and a results-oriented mindset.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The Key Account Manager: Cocoa will manage customer interactions, develop sales plans, monitor competitive intelligence, and ensure compliance with company policies. The role is critical in driving sales and enhancing SOLEVO’s visibility in cocoa-growing regions, including Western, Ahafo, Eastern Central, Volta, Ashanti, and Western North.

The key responsibilities:

  • Create medium- and long-term sales strategies to develop and diversify relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Establish pricing strategies and respond to large tenders with RBM approval.
  • Ensure compliance with invoicing and timely payment of customer invoices.
  • Provide after-sales service, including resolving disputes and organizing training sessions.
  • Enhance SOLEVO’s visibility in cocoa-growing regions through market operations.
  • Identify and manage opportunities for cross-selling, upgrades, and repeat sales with existing customers.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure high-quality service.
  • Develop retention and growth strategies to drive profitable business.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to manage stock rotation and ensure effective order withdrawals from plantations.
  • Provide accurate stock forecasts to ensure timely product availability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and financial health of key actors in the cocoa sector.
  • Organize and oversee trials and demonstrations with the R&D team.
  • Ensure adherence to internal regulations, SHE standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting on sales activities and market insights.

If you possess…

Must-Have:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Agriculture, or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in sales and negotiation techniques.
