The Auto Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of various vehicles. This role requires specialized technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using diagnostic tools and committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical issues in vehicles; conduct thorough inspections and tests to determine the root cause of problems.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs on electrical components, including wiring, lighting, alternators, starters, and batteries; ensure all electrical systems are functioning correctly.
- Installation: Install new electrical systems and components in vehicles, such as navigation systems, alarm systems, and other electronic accessories.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure electrical systems remain in optimal condition and prevent future issues.
- Customer Service: Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues and necessary repairs; provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines; ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all electrical maintenance and repair work performed; ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and regulations; conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure all tools and diagnostic equipment are properly maintained and calibrated; keep the workshop clean and organized.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest automotive electrical technologies and repair techniques; participate in training sessions and obtain relevant certifications.
