We are a Software Outsourcing Startup who are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can work with one of our clients in their migration from VMWare to OpenShift. You must be able to quickly join a team of senior international development professionals at the highest level.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a migration from VMWare to OpenShift
- Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable application development and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy applications within the OpenShift environment.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of the OpenShift platform.
- Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes.
- Offer technical support and guidance to teams on OpenShift best practices and troubleshooting.
- Keep current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to OpenShift, Kubernetes and DevOps best practices.
- Implement security measures to protect applications and infrastructure within the OpenShift environment.

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on OpenShift or other container orchestration platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Expertise in managing OpenShift clusters and containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins, GitLab or CircleCI.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Groovy.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols and Linux-based system administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
