We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with Full Stack expertise to join our innovative team in the lottery and iGaming industry. This role demands strong backend development skills using PHP, Java and Node.js coupled with full stack capabilities, including React.js. The ideal candidate should also have proficiency in modern tools such as Spring Boot, Laravel, Docker, Postgres, MySQL, Kafka, and Redis, with experience in building secure, scalable, and efficient systems.
Key Responsibilities
Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel) and Java (Spring Boot).
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

Full Stack Development:
- Collaborate on frontend development using React.js to create intuitive user interfaces.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
USSD Application Development:
- Develop and integrate USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) applications for mobile networks, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
Message Queue and Caching Systems:
- Work with Kafka for distributed streaming and messaging systems.
- Leverage Redis for caching and performance optimization.
Database Management:
- Manage and optimize databases with Postgres and MySQL ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Containerization and Deployment:
- Utilize Docker for containerization and application deployment in scalable environments.
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP):
- Apply OOP principles to design, implement, and maintain clean, reusable, and efficient code.
Quality Assurance and CI/CD:
- Implement best practices for code quality and testing.
- Use CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline development workflows.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with frontend and backend developers, UI designers, and project managers.
- Ability to work in an agile environment

Requirements
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on PHP, Node.js, and Java.
- Proven experience in full stack development, particularly using React.js.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Postgres, Kafka, and Redis.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and containerized deployments.
Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering efficient and innovative solutions.
Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of the lottery and iGaming industry, including compliance and regulatory requirements.
