Job Description
Responsibilities
- Identify Potential Shippers: Seek out and identify companies or individuals who need shipping services.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct shippers to understand their shipping needs.
- Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate contracts and agreements with shippers to secure their business.
- Coordinate Logistics: Work with carriers and logistics providers to arrange the transportation of goods.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all shipping activities comply with regulations and industry standards.
- Provide Customer Support: Offer ongoing support and communication to shippers, addressing any concerns or issues.
- Track Performance: Monitor the performance of shipping operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends and competitors to strategically position the company’s services.

Required Skills or Experience
- Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, particularly in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with shippers and carriers.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and contracts.
- Relationship-Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and shipments simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues and find effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Shipping Industry: Familiarity with shipping processes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and other tools used for managing customer relationships and logistics.
