About the job

To manage the resolution of application and system issues that arise across the business. Respond to technical problems that may occur abruptly and require immediate resolution to ensure that service promise to customers are met and that business operations run smoothly. Recommend and implement digital solutions to improve business operations

Responsibilities

Support and Administration

  • Responsible for the Support & administration of applications and services used for the production, management & delivery of lending, banking and support services.

Quality Control

  • Understand in-depth, the business processes supported by each system
  • Maintain production environments. This will include development, UAT and production systems. This work will be done in conjunction with Group IT
  • Ensure applications are maintained in a manner that supports delivery of services to multiple platforms, resilience, and performance
  • Ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications/services
  • Ensure continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate until resolution reached.
  • Ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across applications for administration, deployment, monitoring and support.
  • Perform routine risk & gap assessment activities on business application platforms with applicable mitigation solutions and recommendations.
  • Coordinate periodic review of user roles and permissions on all the business application platforms to ensure system function conformity, security, and integrity.
  • Submit business application reports aligned with well-defined measuring metrics.

Problem-Solving

  • Identify application-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Provide capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated system(s) Identifying trends or problems
  • Take ownership and coordinate application-related changes.

Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation.

Coordinate and review

  • Coordinate business application platform-related enhancements and management across product lines.

Qualification / Knowledge

  • Minimum First Degree in IT, Computer Sciences or Engineering.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Strong technical skills and practical experience in database administration
  • Knowledge in Project Management
  • Practical experience in application testing, release, and deployment
  • Practical experience in programming and digital automation
  • Basic knowledge of network & system administration will be a plus.
  • Practical experience in IT ServiceDesk ticketing System

Experience

  • 3 years minimum relevant technical experience
