Job Description
Purpose
The Communications & Marketing Manager provides strong leadership and set strategic communications and marketing goals and processes in alignment with core ministry functions, national goals and with our global strategy - Our Promise. in the production of key communications resources for donor and public engagement that position the ministry of World Vision (WV) Ghana with in-country and international media.

Required Skills or Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- A university degree or equivalent in journalism or communications/media
- At least 10 years of professional experience in areas of international communications, media and journalism.
- 5 years experience in leading and managing a team
- Working knowledge of budget management.
- Deep understanding and experience in strategic communications
- Experience in brand management and strengthening.
- Excellent employee relations experience
Preferred :
- MA in Journalism or Communications studies or related discipline.
- Professional Certification in Marketing.
- Excellent writing skills, with photographic and/or video skills also preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines.
- General experience in project management, with specific experience in the production of diverse and creative communications projects including publications, multi-media, websites/pages, photo and video reports, etc.
- Donor engagement, internal communications, emergency communications and some level of advocacy communications.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Able to travel and work in the field as an essential function of the position.
- Strong competency in developing and reviewing impact stories, production scripts and media briefings.
- Rich experience in Brand Management
Other Competencies/Attributes:
- Excellent journalistic (verbal and written), Media Relations and Media Production skills.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (and French desired), and to relate cross-culturally with a wide range of international constituencies.
- Demonstrate ability to Lead and manage strategically and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in the development and production of a wide array of communication materials such as publications, TV & video documentaries, web, and other media.
- Demonstrate rich portfolio of Strategic Communications experience and ability to utilize public relations to forge stronger constituency consensus.
- Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
- Attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
- Perform other duties as required.
