SAS Finance Group comprises two companies: Strategic African Securities Limited (SAS) and SAS Investment Management Limited (SAS-IM). SAS is an integrated investment banking and financial advisory firm, founded in 1994 by a group of experienced professionals and business executives with commitment to providing quality financial services to private and public sectors in Ghana and other emerging markets.

SAS has a broad range of experience in securities trading; corporate advisory, research as well as asset management. SAS-IM is an investment advisory firm licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The firm provides diversified portfolio management services to high-net-worth individuals and institutions and offers mutual fund products and smaller investors.

Accountabilities

  • Study and analyze the condition of the market and conduct detailed research on the financial, social, and economic data and information
  • Design and implement new strategies to improving the performance of the trading business
  • Evaluate risks involved and make appropriate decisions and prepare the relevant reports
  • Constantly monitor and review the transactions to verify the accuracy and ensure that they are in conformance with the rules and regulations of the governing organizations
  • Execute trades, manage, build and maintain customer relationships and complete administrative duties, such as document preparation, and follow-up with customers.
  • Supervising and coordinating all activities of equities brokerage unit including the preparation of various reports.
  • Ensuring all regulatory requirements in relation to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) are adhere to.
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients and ensuring that investors are continuously informed about regular updates on the market as well as attending to their queries or complaints.
  • Setting up and registering new clients; entering deposits orders, share price updates and dividends into the brokerage system.
  • Work with Research team to ensure that our suite of research reports, macro markets. Securities transactions, etc.- are well distributed tactically and become valuable daily trading/ investment insights and decision drivers for our offshore and domestic institutional clients.
  • Other duties as assigned from time-to-time

Job Requirements

Education

  • A good first degree from any reputable University
  • Should have passed all the required Securities Courses of the Ghana Stock Exchange
  • Five years plus experience in Personality
  • Must be intelligent and analytical
  • Must be of high integrity and must have the ability to communicate with diverse personalities
  • Must have a true thirst for knowledge
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Able to cope with work, time and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented in all aspects. Should pay attention to, be concerned with, and analyze details
