Job Description
- Reports Directly To: Energy Engineer
- Location Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.
Job Purpose
- Maintain all heavy-duty trucks, tractors, machines, engines, and auxiliary equipment to reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out inspection to identify early signs of breakdown on equipment and machines
- Carry out daily and weekly readings on specific equipment
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all equipment scheduled in the maintenance software.
- Conduct routine proactive maintenance on machines and equipment
- Carry out the replacement of parts on machines and equipment
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job to handle issues of downtime appropriately and timely
- Complete and submit all maintenance documentation on every job assigned

- Ensure to keep the tools used for maintenance activities in good and clean condition
- Train machine operator’s startup checks and operation procedures.
- Keep track of all spare part inventories to avoid stockout
- Ensure to adhere to strict health and safety procedures at the workstation
- Identify and advice management of the state of machines and equipment on their end of life.
- Ensure to adhere to industry best practices at the workstation
- Ensure to adhere to strict food safety procedures at the workstation
- Develop good housekeeping practices at the workstation
- Submit weekly reports on the machine and equipment maintenance.
- Endeavour to be available for emergency situations.
Departmental Relations
- Relations with all department
External Relations
- Maintains contact with 3rd party contractors related to auto maintenance
Physical Requirements
- A lot of walking, standing, squatting, sitting, and lifting of materials required on the job
Equipment/Tools to be used
- Set of tools
Required Skills or Experience
Qualification
Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering(Auto Option) with at least 6 years experience in a similar role or Motor Vehicle Technician Part II or III qualification with 8 years of experience in heavy-duty machinery and hydraulic systems.
