About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Product Manager to join our team in Ghana. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our financial solutions, engaging directly with users to understand their needs, running user testing sessions, and driving impactful product development initiatives. Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and testing sessions to gather valuable insights and validate product concepts.
- Define and maintain detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories for new features and product improvements.
- Perform market research to identify emerging opportunities, challenges, and trends in the financial landscape
- Analyze competitor products and industry trends to identify gaps and inform product strategy.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and define new features and improvements based on user feedback and market demands.
- Prioritize product features in alignment with strategic goals, user impact, and technical feasibility.
- Partner with engineering, data science, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product releases on time.
- Use data analytics to evaluate product performance, identify areas for optimization, and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and operations).
- Must have experience conducting user interviews, usability tests, customer feedback and translating them into business and product initiatives.
- Preferably within the financial sector, including digital banking, credit, payments, and financial services.
- Experience working on B2C mobile products
- Proven experience in crafting detailed design and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
- Team player with prior experience working within a team of Product Managers.
- Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of technical products and processes.
- Passionate about fintech and committed to enhancing financial inclusion and access in Africa.
- Willing to travel from time to time.
