Job Description

Role Overview

The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing Healed World LBG’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role supports budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and audits and ensures efficient financial management to further Healed World’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenses, and grants.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and funder requirements.
  • Process payments, manage payroll, and oversee petty cash management.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and financial analyses to ensure financial health.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisted with financial audits and implemented recommendations to enhance financial practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and donor requirements.
  • Support the development of financial policies and provide staff with training on financial procedures.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within an NGO.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Ghanaian financial regulations and donor compliance is preferred.
