GIU International Christian Academy is a Christian school, and Cambridge Associate School is in Tema. GICA is looking to recruit applications from experienced, hard-working, and goal-oriented individuals for the Art and Design Teacher position. 

The Art and Design Teacher will be responsible to the Head of HR and the Principal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Art and Design Teacher shall:

  • Instruct Primary level students in Art and Design;
  • Instruct IGCSE and A-level students in Art and Design;
  • Ensure the proper education and training in Art and Design for all students;
  • Ensure and promote school discipline.

Required Skills or Experience

Candidates looking to apply for the position must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Art/Design/Graphic Design
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years teaching at an international curricular school
  • Have a minimum of a 95% passage rate of an 'A' or above in the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level, or a '6' or above in the IB
  • Must be conversant either in the Cambridge International Education or the IB
  • Be able to teach a variety of art forms, including painting, POP, sculpture, etc.
  • Identify students' artistic skills and develop them.
