The Engineering Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced and outstanding individual to fill an Artisan III – Boilermaker position. The successful applicant will apply knowledge and experience to carry out maintenance work and identify problems and advise on remedial action
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake daily routine fault tracing and maintenance in a timeous manner to meet targets
- Execute daily routine work strictly according to Procedures and Standards
- Maintain a comprehensive record/file of applicable standards and procedures
- Conduct maintenance effectively and efficiently
- Identifying and providing reports on risks and hazards
- Responsible for own safety and that of other employees
- Ensure that areas of responsibility are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping
- Suggest ways to improve performance to meet targets
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements

Key Requirements
- Recognized National Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent qualification in Welding
- Minimum of two (3) years’ relevant work experience in plant equipment maintenance
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interact with people of diverse culture and backgrounds.
- Ability to work for long hours to obtain the required results with minimum supervision
- Must have a good knowledge of how to interpret engineering drawings
- Conversant with a metallurgical plant environment and related equipment
- Medical fitness for the position
