Electrical Switchgear Limited (ESL) is an electrical panel manufacturing company incorporated in Ghana. We design and build electrical low-voltage main distribution and control panels for industrial, commercial and residential applications.

Job Description

JOB TITLE: PANEL BUILDER

NO. OF VACANCIES AVAILABLE: 2

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Panel Builder is responsible for handling all panel building tasks assigned. The Panel Builder reports to the Production Engineer. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build panel according to the provided circuit and layout, while conforming to industry standard in panel building
  • Ensure timelines are kept at all times and communicate appropriately if any challenges arise.
  • Ensure efficient use of materials by generating component list for each project when assigned.
  • Ensure quality of work and efficient use of materials 
  • Provide daily report on the status of assigned ongoing projects including the challenges being faced.
  • Observe the 5S in the work area at all times.
  • May be assigned any other duties as required.
  • Take good care of tools resourced to ensure effective execution of tasks.
  • Work safely and adhere to the Safety, Health and Environment Management Standards that apply to his/her work area.

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
  • Risk Assessment
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Knowledge on the safe use of tools and equipment as applicable

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Experience in building electrical panel 
  • Job-related certification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Good Technical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to complete work on schedule
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Able to collaborate and work well with team members
  • Must be fluent in both oral and written English
