The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
- Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Support managers in the effective staffing of their teams ensuring inclusivity in how we recruit, how we develop and who we promote.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes to ensure the business units have the right talent in the right roles
- Support organizational change initiatives, helping employees adapt to new processes and technologies
- Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction
- Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies for the business units
- Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programmes to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
- Analyzes trends and metrics together with the HR Team to develop solutions, programmes and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructure and succession planning.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
