Executive Chef - KITMAK

We are a growing business in the hospitality industry based in Osu. We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef with a specialization in continental cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience, with a strong focus on preparing and presenting a variety of continental dishes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Plan and execute the preparation of continental dishes by the menu and quality standards
• Create innovative and visually appealing dishes that showcase culinary expertise
• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets all food safety and sanitation standards
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in continental cooking techniques
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
• Manage inventory and control food costs to maximize profitability
• Provide support services to other departments as deemed necessary

Required Skills or Experience

Education/Skills and Work Experience

• Completed secondary education and holds a WASSCE Certificate
• Possess a certificate from a recognised vocational school e.g. NVTI, COTVET
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Chef, with a focus on continental cuisine
• Proven expertise in preparing a wide range of continental dishes, including but not limited to Japanese, Italian, French, and Mediterranean cuisine
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
