As part of our commitment to excellence, the Ghana Sceince Association seek a responsible and skilled driver to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of staff, guests, and essential materials. This position requires not only driving proficiency but also a strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Here are the primary duties and responsibilities of a GSA Driver:
Driving Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, guests, and other individuals as directed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and report any issues to the appropriate authority.
- Ensure timely vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers during transport.
- Load and unload goods as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities:
- Keep an accurate log of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
- Assist with the dispatch of documents and parcels as required.
- Support the administration team with other tasks when not driving.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation, including licenses and insurance, is up to date
Required Skills or Experience
Educational Background
- A minimum of a Senior High School (SHS) certificate
Skills and Knowledge
- Valid driver’s license at least B with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation systems.
- Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle repairs.
- Good knowledge of road signs and driving regulations.
