Fraud and Field Investigator: M-KOPA

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on covert investigations and is keen to make a tangible impact by working closely with our fraud lead, analysts, and legal teams.

In this position, you will:

• Conduct thorough covert investigations and desktop investigations into potential fraud instances.
• Develop proactive strategies to identify and prevent fraud.
• Engage with law enforcement agencies like police to support field investigations and case prosecutions
• Collaborate with the legal team to manage interactions with law enforcement regarding confirmed fraud cases.
• Support the timely closure of all fraud cases and assist in DSR suspensions while liaising with the sales team on discipline.
• Provide actionable feedback from various stakeholders to enhance business operations

Expertise

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Certification in a fraud-related discipline, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
• Proficiency in identifying fraud indicators through data analysis and a solid understanding of criminal justice systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders, including customers and law enforcement.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, particularly in rural field environments when carrying out covert investigations.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and effective written and verbal communication.
