Our client is the leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana. The company now seeks a hands-on Internal Audit Assistant to assist the Internal Audit Manager in improving the internal control systems whilst ensuring that policies, rules, and procedures are adhered to in order to safeguard the assets of the company
Key Accountabilities
- Undertake audits in assigned areas which include inventory and Revenue Audits in accordance with Audit Work Plan and in conformity with industry best practices and professional standards.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy and reliability of accounting records and the timely preparation of financial information.
- Test the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment, identify gaps and make suggestions for improvement.
- Review, assess and recommend changes in systems and controls of business units.
- Liaise with departmental staff and ensure implementation of approved audit recommendations.
- Undertake special audits on projects and other ad-hoc audits
- Prepare quarterly status reports on previous audit findings
- Timeously deliver professionally written audit reports with value-added recommendations after audits.

Qualification Required & Experience
- First Degree in Accounting & Related fields.
- Student Member – Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana (ICAG) or ACCA.
- Must have minimum of four (4) years’ experience in same or related role.
