--> The Advisor is responsible for the implementation of activities in the field of public finance with a focus on support for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Ministry of Finance, as part of GIZ’s PAIReD programme. He/she also provides assessments and analyses of developments that affect public finances in Ghana. Moreover, he/she engages on cross-cutting topics such as gender, digitization, communication, etc. and contributes to knowledge management and results-based monitoring.
Tasks:
- Provide expert advice on the improvement of Ghana’s system of public finances, with a special focus on the administration of public revenue.
- Support the development and implementation of an integrity strategy at GRA.
- Plan and support the implementation of taxpayer education and public sensitization activities.
- Initiate activities on questions of gender in the context of public finances.
- Plan and coordinate support for CSOs and the media in the field of public finances.
- Produce concept notes, terms of reference, budgets and other documents as required for the implementation of the work packages.
- Provide input to the PAIReD programme’s monitoring and reporting.
- Travel within Ghana to support selected activities.
