Job Description
- Report to: Production Manager
We are seeking to recruit a highly committed, result-oriented, motivated, disciplined, and experienced Electrician with a passion for improving the lives of smallholder farmers. He or she will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.

Job Responsibilities
- Diagnoses causes of electrical malfunction or failure of industrial machines and equipment
- Directs and supervises preventive or corrective maintenance activities.
- Performs complex maintenance activities.
- Performs periodic electrical testing and initiates modification or replacement of equipment, which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Develops wiring diagrams and layout drawings for system or equipment modifications and specifications.
- Assembles and tests motor-control devices, switches, panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
- Checks and approves bills for works completed.
- Participates in the orientation and on–the–job training sessions for newly assigned electricians.
- Appraises the performance of subordinate staff.
- Compiles and prepares periodic activity reports and lists of machine spare parts.
- Proper handling and managing of company materials (tools and spares).
- Work in coordination with hatchery, breeding, and other premier poultry teams
- Follow Premier Poultry's biosecurity policy and work conduct rules
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Required Skills or Experience
- Diploma above in any vocational training or related field and has successfully completed apprenticeship as an Electrician
- Have a valid license as a professional
- Minimum of two (2) years and above working experience

Competencies
- Demonstrates technical and practical knowledge of the methods of installation and repair of electrical systems.
- Possess extensive knowledge and experience working with various electrical devices and systems.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
