Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and co-ordinate security activities that will ensure maximum safety of properties and staff
- Manage third-party/contract security personnel on-site
- Co-ordinate and monitor the enforcement of the company’s policies, rules and regulations regarding safety and security
- Investigate and report security lapses, fire outbreaks, motor and other industrial accidents
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies
- Manage the company’s electronic security system
- Preparation, implementation and monitoring of the annual budget for the security unit
Qualification Required & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any social sciences from a recognised institution in any social sciences plus a minimum of 6 years post qualification in industrial security duties OR
- Diploma or equivalent from a recognised institution, plus a minimum of 9 years post qualification in industrial security duties OR
- The rank of Captain in the Army or its equivalent in the police service or any other security agency
Skills and Competencies required
- Sound knowledge of security best practice
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyse information
- Reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient IT skills
