A reputable Public Service Organisation invites applications from eligible individuals for the following position: Deputy Director of Procurement
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the preparation of the Annual Procurement Plan
- Review the preparation of the annual work plan for the section
- Review the preparation of Bid Documents for goods, works and services
- Attends entity tender committee meetings
- Review the preparation of quarterly and annual reports on procurement activities
- Acts as the Chief procurement activities of the Agency are posted on the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) website
- Coaches, mentors and provides on-the-job training to subordinates
Qualification Required & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the required field from a recognised tertiary institution
- A post-graduate qualification in the required field
- A certified member of a professionally recognised body
- A minimum of 7 years of post qualification with relevant work years of which must be at the Senior Management level in the public or private sector
- Be computer literate with the ability to use computer-based systems to undertake procurement
