The key purpose of this role is to oversee and provide comprehensive and professional safety management services, to make sure that the company operates legally and ethically and complies with all applicable laws, including those relating to road safety, health and safety, and corporate governance. The primary goal is to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders across the full range of Accra Brewery PLC operations by reducing all safety hazards at their source.
Key roles and responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations as well as national and local road traffic laws.
- Promote the roll out of the safety pillar through the efficient execution of a ramp-up plan; established procedures and processes that comply with local laws; Area and International Standards and Protocols
- Provide training to all parties involved, including contractors, and incorporate safety regulations into operational procedures.
- Create safety one-point lessons when necessary, and instruct all parties involved, including contractors.
- Create and implement procedures for assessing compliance with OPLs and documented safety procedures.
- Provide continuous safety support for T1 and T2 transportation activities to the logistics division
- Facilitation of training for the logistics management and operational teams on the safety pillar requirements
- Support management in monitoring and evaluating safety performance while utilizing the proper management tools
- Facilitate the creation of plans for enhancing overall safety performance on a constant basis
- The Logistics Department operates around the clock, seven days a week, and beyond the confines of the site location. As a result, the support offered by this position necessitates cooperation with numerous internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and law enforcement officials
- Comprehensive monthly self-evaluation of the safety pillars against the safety pillar standards
- Facilitation of the creation of plans to fill identified gaps and monitoring the closure of gaps
- Assist in implementing the process of hazards identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation/control, and risk review. These procedures must encompass business operations and activities.

- Min. of B.Sc./ B.Tech/HND in a related field – Safety Management
- 3 – 5 years post qualification experience
- NEBOSH International Diploma / Safety Management Diploma/Degree
- Min 3 Years’ experience in Safety Management
