Job Description
Plantations Socfinaf Ghana (PSG) Limited, located at Daboase near Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana invites applications from qualified and interested candidates to fill the position of a CHEF at its state-of-the-art Senior Staff Recreational Center.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Recreational Center Supervisor, the position is to cook at the Recreational Center to meet local and international standards.
The position requires the exercise of diligence, honesty, integrity, loyalty to the company and the highest standard of cleanliness throughout employment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Required to abide by the policies and operating procedures of the company and those that the company shall from time to time put in place for the effective and efficient performance of its operations.
- Responsible for the preparation of quality and hygienic food at the company’s Recreational Center.
- Ensure that the cooking utensils and equipment as well as the kitchen and the surroundings where food is prepared are always clean by all standards.
- Required to be tidy and clean at all times.
- Ensure adequate food ingredients are always in stock to meet Guests’/ Customers’ food needs at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Recreational Center Supervisor when the situation requires.
Required Skills or Experience
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Advance Catering/Catering II, or SSCE or WASSCE Certificate with some professional catering certificate.
- Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience in the preparation of both local and international cuisines in a reputable hotel or hospitality facility.
- Applicants MUST reside in Cape Coast or Takoradi and its environs.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Nutritional resources management skills.
- Knowledge in the preparation of a variety of dishes (Local and continental).
- Good interpersonal skills/ Team Player.
- Knowledge in diet management especially for expatriates.
- Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
