The Design and Documentation Engineer is responsible for producing designs for projects of the department. S/He reports to the Team Lead of the unit and has dotted lines to the Technical Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce design templates for various solutions and products
- Provide advice on design tools, training, and modern trends in electrical designs
- Properly document all designs and project documentation in appropriately named folders on the server
- Conduct surveys together with the Project Consultants to collect field data to develop designs, drawings, layouts and varied visual aids.
- Produce detailed design documentation for projects with all applicable BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA, CSA, ANSI/IEEE, IEC and NEMA standards
- Develop new drawings, and as-built drawings, and mark up drawings for approval.

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
- Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
- Risk Assessment
- Hazard identification and reporting
- Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable
Required Skills or Experience
- A Higher National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
