A reputable Faith Based Organization working in the areas of Health, Education, Livelihoods enhancement and Community development in Ghana, has a vacancy for the following position in its program office in Walewale, North East Region. 

Job Description

  • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the project. He/she shall develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the project, and also provide technical assistance to the organization and project stakeholders, particularly in relation to monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
  • The M&E Officer will work closely with the program team to assess field conditions, support capacity-building initiatives and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the Partner Program Manager.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A good first degree in a relevant field such as Social science, Development Studies, and Statistics. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated progressive experience in program monitoring and evaluation, project planning and management in the context of development projects.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the development of M&E tools, data analysis, data quality assessments and data use.
  • Must have advanced quantitative skills, including knowledge of statistical programs.
  • Has the ability to manage diverse activities and meet required deadlines; the flexibility to change situations and priorities desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively on teams in a multi-cultural context and the ability to organize, summarize, and rewrite technical information.
  • Analytical skills required; experience with a statistical package such as SPSS, STATA or any relevant statistical package.
