The Head of BI and Analytics is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing an effective BI & Analytics team, managing big data and advanced analytics initiatives, data integration/engineering, and business intelligence and data warehousing.
This is inclusive of driving performance of analytics solutions to impact overall business results & deliver actionable insights to the business & product teams that aid in strategic decision making.

The role is also responsible for allowing access to information that is critical to the success of multiple areas including sales & distribution, finance, marketing etc. The role leads teams across the below three sub-functions:
- Insights and analytics
- Data Science
- BI & Reporting

Job Role
- Develop functional strategy aligned with the overarching business goals.
- Ensure effective implementation of the functional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps
- Oversee regular review of the functional strategy and roadmap, to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
- Implement and oversee execution of policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by group BI & Analytics team and ensure the team complies with the same
- Implement governance to manage the consolidated BI & Analytics strategy, budgets, and financials.
- Oversee elicitation and review business reporting and analytic requirements from the business groups through formal interviews or facilitated sessions and translate into technical designs for business intelligence implementation
- Oversee & signoff development of BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions) to provide data necessary to effectively make business decisions and measure goal attainment and overall performance
- Lead work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of BI solutions that emphasize
Qualification Required & Experience
Education
- Minimum of University Degree in Business Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science (or related) Degree
- Post Graduate Degree (Finance or General Management preferable)
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a similar position with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Experience in fintech, banking or financial services is preferred
- Working experience in BI, customer insight or data analytics
