CCR Production Technician - MODEC Ghana

Job Description

• To co-ordinate and ensure that the Production CCR activities and operations as directed by relevant Discipline Superintendent, operate the process and utility plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of the safety of others, effective utilisation of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in line with the 35 x
• Performance standards/associated assurance tasks.
• To coordinate and ensure that the production personnel be trained in Control room systems, on the FPSO in accordance with Operator Training Simulator and competency modules, then post-assessment of competence, ensure appraisals and transition pathways are clearly outlined. To carry out mentoring and coaching on the Central Control Room panel operations
• To be responsible for the operational aspect of the CCR panel in an event of an emergency or when necessary due to staff shortages as approved by the Production Superintendent.
• Champion continuous improvement in OTS and proactively seek and share lessons learned and the best practices.
• Act as required as backup or relief Production Supervisor to ensure that the production systems are operated safely and efficiently, in accordance with management systems whilst maximising yields and recovery.

• Fulfil risk management requirements by ensuring that all risks are identified and that processes are established and implemented to manage such risks in line with the requirements and guidelines of the FPSO.
• Be familiar with and lead by example with the Facility’s plant and CCR operations and safe operation and maintenance and will ensure knowledge of safety requirements including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions.
• Responsible for weekly monitoring checks on CCR safety and production critical equipment, reporting any deviation of set parameters and raise work orders in the maintenance management system
• Completing and maintaining all documentation associated with Process engineering as required for all maintenance operational work activities
• Provides production support to achieve and maintain the technical and performance integrity of the FPSO CCR Facility
• Complete all work activities in accordance with the Facility standards, Facility Management procedures and specifications
• Champion continuous improvement in the CCR operations and the OTS and proactively seek and share lessons learned and best practices
• Develop and maintain a safe, efficient and flexible work culture, where all employees strive to achieve the facility business goals. All maintenance and maintenance related activities are carried out to the highest standards
• Ensure all test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance System are completed
• Ensure proper and auditable records/history and reports are maintained
• Review and update Job descriptions for planned Production maintenance as required
• Coaching and Mentoring CCR technicians in training

Educational Qualification:

Engineering degree with other relevant certifications from City & Guilds (C&G) /National Certificate (ONC)/Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate IV in Process Plant Operations or equivalent Mechanical or Process background.

Relevant Experience:

• 8-10 years’ experience on hydrocarbon processing facilities using 3 Phase Separation Equipment, Gas Compression and DCS Operation. Hydrocarbon processing operational experience in a similar role would be highly regarded
• Engineering trade, hydrocarbons production or other relevant qualification
• Experienced in operations of gas compressors for use in gas lift and gas injection operations
• Subsea production system operating experience

• Control Room operating experience and DCS graphic configuration and experience.
• Experienced in DCS control room operations
• Experienced in Process control, plant instrumentation system and troubleshooting
• Experience as production supervisor or technician on an FPSO/Platform or similar facility with experience in the operation and maintenance of process equipment
• Have experience of working using Permit to Work systems
• Experience with Facility Management Systems and Computerised Planned Maintenance Systems preferred
• Confident communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to write and review technical documents and procedures
