General Requirements for Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment 2022
Eligible applicants should:
- Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- Be of good character.
-
- Not be bonded
- Not be married
- Not be less than 18 years and not more than 26 years by 06 Jan 2023.
- Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standards.
- Must pass the Pre-Joining Fitness Test.
- Be of a minimum height of 1.68m (5'6") for males and 1.60m (5'4") for females
- For Military Police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5'9") and 1.70m (5' 7") for females.
- Must have the following:
- BECE - Six (6) credits at BECE including English and mathematics
- WASSCE - Six (6) Credits (Not less than C6) Including Core English, Core Mathematics and Science.
OR
-
- SSSCE - Six (6) Credits (Not less than D) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
OR
-
- GCE 'O' & 'A': levels - Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) Including English and Mathematics at GCE 'O' level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE 'A' Level.

ARMY
#1. Infantry/Armour/Artillery
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University.
#2. Signal Corps
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following:
- Telecommunication Engineering.
- Computer Science.
- Computer/Software Engineering.
- Instrumentation/Systems/Network Engineering.
- Physics/Mathematics.
#3. Engineer Corps
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following:
- Civil Engineering.
- Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering.
- Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering.
- Building Technology/Construction Management.
- Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering.
- Structural Engineering.
- Real Estates.
- Project Management.

#4. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following:
- Agricultural Engineering
- Material Engineering.
- BTech (Automobile).
- Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering
#5. Military Police
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following:
- Forensic Science.
- Sociology/Psychology.
- English Language or French.
- Political Science.

#6. Ordnance Corps

- Graphic Design/Publishing Studies.
- Industrial Art.
- Fashion Design/Textiles
- Ammunition Technology/Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 3
- BSc Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering/Physics

#7. Supply and Transport Corps

- Logistics/Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Transport Management
- Purchasing and Supply
#8. Pay Corps

Alternatively, applicants with CA (Ghana), CIMA, ACCA, CPA, and ICSA are eligible.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following :
- Education.
- Language Translation/Interpretation In Arabic, Russian, Chinese.
- German and Portuguese as third languages may be preferable.
#11. Public Relations
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of the following :
- Communication Studies or Fine Arts (NAFTl).
- Public Relations.
- Journalism.
