General Requirements for Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment 2022

Eligible applicants should:

• Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
• Be of good character.

1. 1. Not be bonded
   2. Not  be married
   3. Not be less than 18 years and not more than 26 years by 06 Jan 2023.
   4. Be medically fit by Ghana  Armed Forces standards.
   5. Must pass the Pre-Joining Fitness Test.
   6. Be of a minimum height of 1.68m (5'6") for males  and  1.60m (5'4") for females

• For Military Police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5'9") and 1.70m  (5' 7") for females.
• Must have the following:
  • BECE - Six (6) credits at BECE including English and mathematics
  • WASSCE - Six (6) Credits (Not less than C6) Including Core English, Core Mathematics and Science.

OR

• • SSSCE - Six (6) Credits  (Not less than D) including Core English and Core Mathematics.

OR

• • GCE 'O' & 'A':  levels - Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) Including English and Mathematics at GCE 'O' level and not less than D in three subjects and General  Paper at GCE 'A' Level.

ARMY

#1. Infantry/Armour/Artillery

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University.

 

#2. Signal Corps

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:

1. Telecommunication Engineering.
2. Computer Science.
3. Computer/Software  Engineering.                                                                     
4. Instrumentation/Systems/Network Engineering.
5. Physics/Mathematics. 

 

#3. Engineer  Corps 

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:

1. Civil Engineering.
2. Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering.
3. Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering.                                                                
4. Building Technology/Construction Management.
5. Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering.                                                                     
6. Structural Engineering.
7. Real Estates.
8. Project  Management.

#4. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:               

1. Agricultural Engineering
2. Material Engineering.                                                                                     
3. BTech (Automobile).  
4. Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering                  

 

#5. Military Police

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:         

1. Forensic Science.                                                                
2. Sociology/Psychology.                         
3. English Language or French.                                                       
4. Political Science.                                                                                            
5. Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics

 

#6. Ordnance Corps

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree, not below 2nd Class Lower from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:         

1. Chemistry/Biochemistry.
2. Logistics/Procurement and Supply Chain Management
3. Warehouse Management
4. Graphic Design/Publishing Studies.
5. Industrial Art.
6. Fashion Design/Textiles
7. Ammunition Technology/Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 3
8. BSc Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering/Physics

#7. Supply and Transport Corps    

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:         

1. Logistics/Procurement and Supply Chain Management
2. Transport  Management
3. Purchasing  and Supply

 

#8. Pay Corps      

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:         

1. Accounting.
2. Finance.
3. Economics.
4. Commerce.

Alternatively, applicants with CA (Ghana), CIMA,  ACCA, CPA, and ICSA are eligible.

#9. Information Technology

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following:     

1. Computer Science
2. Computer Engineering
3. Information Technology.
4. Network/Software Engineering.
5. Cyber/Forensic Security.
6. Network Security. 
7. Information Technology Systems Auditing.

 

#10. Education Corps

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following :     

1. Education.
2. Language Translation/Interpretation In Arabic, Russian, Chinese.
3. German and Portuguese as third languages may be preferable.

 

#11. Public Relations 

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following :     

1. Communication Studies or Fine Arts  (NAFTl).
2. Public  Relations.
3. Journalism.

#12. Physical Training and Sports

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University/institution.

 

#13. Band.      

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree in Music from a recognized University/institution.

 

#14. Records 

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in any of  the following :     

1. Actuarial Science.
2. Administration (Human  Resource)
3. Statistics
4. Management Information Studies.
5. Archival  Studies.

#15. Catering.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/institution in Home Economics
