The Zenith University College is a private tertiary institution accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and affiliated to the University of Cape Coast to provide higher education, undertake research, disseminate knowledge and provide service to the community

The University College is seeking to appoint Senior Lecturers / Lecturers in Law to join its highly motivated and dynamic Law Faculty.

This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the continuing development of the growing Faculty of Law. We are looking for individuals with LLM who have industry experience in the relevant subject area, as well as a track record of teaching across the different levels in Law.

We are looking for research-oriented individuals who will contribute to the research agenda of the Faculty, as well as cooperate with our business engagement activities and other external stakeholders

Job Summary

  • You will be in charge of developing courses and innovative teaching sessions, enjoy working as part of a team and be committed to your own personal development within your subject area
  • Your role as a full or part-time faculty member is to centre on academic excellence, student success and encourage lifelong learning by working collaboratively with stakeholders to support the vision & mission of the University College
  • You will ensure the quality & integrity of the college's academic programmes through teaching and learning, professional development and service.
  • You will demonstrate collegiality, good citizenship and commitment to serving the college. We are particularly interested in persons who, through their research, teaching & learning and or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence at the college

Responsibilities & Main Duties

  • To engage in teaching at the undergraduate, diploma & short Law programmes as determined by the Faculty Dean
  • Contribute to the design, content, learning material and delivery of specific areas of teaching & learning and to the quality fo teaching delivered

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the continuous review and development of the Faculty's programmes
  • Work in accordance with the University College's procedures to undertake assessment of student's work and give feedback
  • Peer observation to support your professional development and that of colleagues
  • Assist with course-related field trips, internships and other external engagements
  • Research and scholarly-related activities
  • Make a contribution to the research profile of the Faculty and pursue a personnel research program consistent with the college's research priorities
  • Ensure that outcomes of research and scholarly activity are appropriately disseminated in peer-reviewed outlets
  • To participate in communication structures such as course team & Faculty meetings to support effective management arrangements and promote good relations with staff and students

Terms of Appointment

The appointment, which is a full-time job shall be for 3 years in the first instance and may be renewed for further terms
