The Cashier will manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently by receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.
You should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction. The Cashier should embody the Company Values and provide the best Customer Service Experience to all Stakeholders

Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO through the Accounts Officer and working with all departmental officers responsible, the duties and key responsibilities of the Cashier include the following:
- Embody Integrity by properly safeguarding Company’s assets
- Perform a variety of duties related to opening and closing procedures of the Cashier’s Office
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers / POS, Quick books
- Responsible for all billing transactions and ensure pricing is accurate
- Greet customers when they arrive at the windows within the Cashier s Office
- Collect payments whether in cash, cheques or credit
- Issue receipts and refunds
- Redeem membership discounts of general discount coupons
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Process deposits from various departments within the Company
- Accurately key in all payments into the Finance Software System
- Process petty cash by verifying authorized signatories, authorized purchases, and compliance with Company Policy
- Track and reconcile transactions on balance sheets on daily basis and report any discrepancies
- Produce daily reconciliations and updates
- Produce monthly status and performance reports
- Perform other miscellaneous duties and other tasks assigned by Management

Requirements
- Work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role in sales
- Basic PC knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS, Quick books, etc
- Good math skills
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- HND Accounting
