The Judicial Service of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Head of Security
Job Description
Will be in charge of security of all assets, human resources and others, including the following:
- Inspecting duty posts to ensure the security of Judges/staff and assets of the Judicial Service
- Initiating disciplinary procedures against the staff of the security Unit
- Gathering intelligence for appropriate preventive measures
- Identifying threats/hazards and quickly taking appropriate actions based on available facts
- Taking preventive action against illegal activities at the courthouses and judges residencies
- Identifying potential security problems and introducing solutions

- Managing the Hybrid Security System
- Liaising with state security agencies for support to respond to emergency security situations within the judicial service
- Investigating security and safety incidents at workplaces
- Enforcing safety regulations, including traffic management, fire extinguishing, Emergency Evaluation, Crowd Control Management, Fire Policies and standard operating procedures, access control and perimeter protection
- Training security personnel of the security unit
- Monitoring Electronic Security System
- Training security personnel of the Security Unit
- Monitoring Electronic Security System
- Formulating security policies for the judicial service
- Performing any other related duties as and when required
Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related discipline
- Should not be more than 55 years
- Should be a retired Captain of the Army or Deputy Superintendent of Police
