To be successful in this role, you will require in-depth knowledge in port-related activities for example freight, import duty related transactions and clearing charges. You should be a “go-to” person with respect to the computation and unit cost analysis and stock valuation. And managing the same information in the ERP System aside from the manual tracker.
Job Description
- Working with the procurement department to keep track of port charges, freight charges, clearing charges and transport charges.
- Maintain a tracker for determining the unit cost of the product received into stock.
- Ensure all costs related to trucks, equipment and parts are entered into the system in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the company’s product cost database.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, laws and acts by researching and being fully abreast with changes and current happenings within the industry which can affect the cost and pricing.

- Performing periodic stock count.
- Designing procedures and processes to strengthen the inventory receipt and issuance.
- Undertaking a period review of all documented processes around the whole inventory management process and recommending any improvement required in the process to leadership.
- In charge of performing quarterly inventory ageing analysis report.
- Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management account and ensure the timely submission finance leaders.
- Support in the organization of all financial information and liaise with both internal and External Auditors in completing Audit
- Coordinate all statutory and compliance audit especially Post Clearance Audit
- Keep track of all cost elements and ensure periodic entries are made in the ERP System for review and approval by superior.
- Other duties as may be required
Required Skills or Experience
- A Minimum of a 1st degree in finance, accounting economics or any related areas with over 5 years industry related working experience
- Chartered Accountant (either ICA-Ghana, ACCA etc) is a plus.
