A reputable Consulting Engineering firm requires the services of Civil Engineers and Technician Engineers.
1. Civil Engineers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
- Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs
- Undertaking complex calculations
- Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors
- Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
- Resolving design and development problems
- Ranging budgets and project resources
- Rescheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
- Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety
- Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
- Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.

QUALIFICATION
- The applicant must have considerable experience in Building construction supervision.
- Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills
- The ability to think methodically and to manage projects
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
2. Technician Engineers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in drawing up blueprints and plans for products and equipment.
- Designs and builds prototypes of planned products or equipment.
- Assists in the construction of said products and equipment.
- Writes up reports of daily laboratory activity.
- Maintains records and files of all completed engineering work.
- Inspects product design for problems or errors.
- Runs tests on products and equipment to ensure they function properly.
- Analyzes system or product performance.
- Provides suggestions for ways to improve products and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The applicant must have considerable experience in Building construction supervision.
- Possesses background knowledge in engineering or computer science.
- Is capable of conducting independent research.
- Works well on a team.
- Pays close attention to detail.
