As the Business Development Advisor with Farm Radio International in Ghana, you will support the organization to design, test and implement a sustainable business model to ensure the provision of good and gender-responsive radio programs for rural communities in Ghana.
You will be tasked to help the organization implement the business development strategy to grow the organization's clientele toward the Green Leaf Model.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the organization to acquire new projects and sell Green Leaf Model and Farm Radio International additional products or services to existing and new partners
- Assist to grow and expand or diversify Farm Radio International clientele based on including corporate sponsorship capability and support the development of an events' strategy
- Support to complete the business strategy and plan
- In conjunction with colleagues, review business strategy plan as well as exploring new partners and services
- Use an intersectional lens to ensure the inclusion and participation of young women and other marginalized youth, as well as their representation, in all activities related to business development strategies
- Ensure that a gender equality lens is consistently applied in the execution of all activities
- Support partners to reduce their environmental footprint by transitioning out of paper-heavy communications products, and where printing is necessary, using environmentally-friendly materials
- Participate in pre-assignment training
- Participate in at least 3 public engagement initiatives before, during, or after the assignment. Volunteers will be equipped with the tools, training, and support to achieve these goals. Volunteers will also have one virtual check-in with the Public Engagement Officer throughout the course of their assignment
- Submit reports as required by the partner organization and by WUSC.

Experience and Qualifications
- Degree and/or training in business administration or a related field
- Ability to network and create partnerships
- Knowledge of corporate and philanthropic organizations
- Ability to write proposals and reports
- A commitment to gender equality, youth inclusion, and volunteering
- Flexibility, adaptability, excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Experience with group facilitation and training, including content development, is considered an asset
- Written and oral fluency in English.
