A reputable manufacturing company located on the Spintex Road, Accra is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position of HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
Duties include but not limited to the following:
- Plans and organises eflective safety systems in the Factory
- Duly monitoring of health, safety and sanitation situation in the factory
- Ensures workers are provided with personal protective equpment and comply with usage
- Ensures First Aid Boxes are fully replenished with drugs
- Organises regular toolbox tasks and training in all safety activities in conjunction with the HR/Administrative Manager and the Safety Committee

- Investigates and write reports on accidents and incidents
- Prepare monthly safety and sanitation reports
- Supervise the general cleaning team of the Factory and the entire environment to ensure cleanliness at all times
- Advices the HR/Administrative Manager as well as the Chief Operating Officer and the General Manager (Operations) on safety and related matters
- Coordinates to conduct induction/orientation for new employees
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering plus a Diploma Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA/NEBOSH) or related qualification in Health and Safety programme with at least 5 years work experience preferably in a manufacturing industry
