Cape Coast Technical University is seeking qualified applications for the positions below

TECHNICAL SUPPORTING STAFF

  1. Senior Technician (Civil Engineering Laboratory): Senior Technician (Mechanical Engineering Laboratory/Workshop) and Senior Technician (Agric Mechanisation)
  2. Technician/Technologist
  3. Senior Technical Assistant (Building Laboratory)

Senior Technician (Civil Engineering Laboratory), Senior Technician (Mechanical Engineering Laboratory/Workshop) and Senior Technician (Agric Mechanisation)

Staff in this grade shall perform work, which requires exhibition of sound judgment, a high sense of responsibility, initiative and discretion,

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs the duties of Technician at a higher level of responsibility; and
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the appropriate

Qualification and Experience

An applicant seeking appointment to the position of Senior Technician (Civil Engineering Laboratory), Senior Technician (Mechanical Engineenng Laboratory/Workshop) and Senior Technician (Agric Mechanisation) must:

  • possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field awarded by a recognised institution; OR
  • HND in a relevant field awarded by a recognised institution/Part Ill of the relevant Technician Certificate and must have served as Technician/Technologist in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organisation for at least four (4) years

 

Technician/Technologist

Qualification and Experience

  • HND in relevant field awarded by a recognised institution: OR
  • Part (III) of relevant Technician Certificate; and
  • Applicants must be computer literate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction and supervision of superiors.

Senior Technical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

The senior Technical Assistant shall perform such relevant duties as may be required. These include

  • Construction
  • Repair and maintenance of equipment;
  • Repairs and maintenance of scientific equipment;
  • Providing technical assistance to staff engaged on research projects;
  • Preparation of experiments for teaching and learning; and

 

Qualification and Experience

The Applicant must possess the following:

  • The Applicant must have obtained Credits in five (5) GCE "0" LeveI/WASSCE/ SSSCE subjects or its equivalence from a recognised institution and must have served satisfactorily as a Technical Assistant Grade I for not less than three (3) years in the University or comparable grade in a similar organisation. OR
  • He/She must possess the Science Laboratory Technician Certificate (Part I) with at least one (1) year experience in a University or comparable in a similar institution/organisation.
  • Applicant must be computer literate
