Fainajs Express Ltd is a growing trade facilitation and business development firm that seeks to enhance access to hustle Free Inter African Trade, business setup, growth and development for current and aspiring African Entrepreneurs. 

We provide business development support, trade facilitation, trade payment and advisory along with other value-added services to a wide range of customers in four (4) countries.

Job Description

Whom we are looking for 

  • We are seeking a bi-bilingual (English & French speaker) dynamic, self-motivated and diligent researcher and partnership intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for providing research, partnership coordination and administrative support to the business. You should be self-motivated, reliable, responsible and confidential in performing your duties and in communicating with relevant stakeholders. Similarly, you should find joy in finding new partnerships and sales opportunities that can enable the agency to reach its growth objectives. So you should be willing to adapt quickly and have confidence in suggesting improved ways of coordinating partnership, sales, research and development duties.

  • Functional Responsibilities
  • Under the overall guidance of the Director of Strategy & Partnerships, the Partnerships Intern will be responsible for
  • Conducting product, sales development and partner research, including internal and external data analysis on current and potential partners relevant to the business ;
  • Monitoring of trends and developments to identify possible new business acquisition opportunities, and developing relevant engagement strategies;
  • Developing business/market analysis reports, background notes, presentations and talking points on key issues related to the above;
  • Assisting in the team’s relationship-building activities and related project/meeting preparations and follow-up, with a focus on the office relevant partners;
  • Updating the internal working tools, including internal information/knowledge management tools and the Intranet.
  • Work with other assigned department to help them in reaching their objectives
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
  • The applicant will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Strategy & Partnerships on the following activities:
  • Analysing and monitoring trade and partners policies, practices and trade development cooperation budget allocations to identify possible new business acquisition opportunities;
  • Researching and developing potential new partner profiles, as well as associated engagement strategies;
  • Collecting and analysing information, policy briefs, reports, academic journals and news articles related to current and potential partners and clients ;
  • Developing/updating business/market analysis, outreach plans and thematic briefs (e.g. by partner, sector and country);
  • Research and draft business/market analyses concerning possible business acquisition opportunities;
  • Prepare business/market analysis reports for both major donors as well as countries in the region;
  • Research, draft, update and maintain partner profiles and briefs according to changing/shifting priorities, areas of focus, and country strategies;
  • Research and draft partner engagement and outreach strategies in support of key partner management;
  • Contribute to, review and comment on, internal reports on market entry and partnership development strategies;
  • Aid in the development of bidder/partner/competitor analysis reports for engagements;
  • Monitoring of business development/partner websites to aid in the identification of potential business acquisition opportunities;
  • Updating of FAINAJS Profiles in relevant internal knowledge management tools;
  • Liaise with the relevant team when applicable, and build relationships with personnel across the organization to improve information dissemination and facilitate data collection and knowledge management;
  • Assist with internal capacity-building efforts in the area of partnerships;
  • Contributions, maintenance and periodic updating of internal information in coordination with the communications focal point, and;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • The candidate should also know of, and experience with, Microsoft Office programs, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Recent Graduate (undergrad or Masters) in International development or Relations, Trade Policy, International Business, Business Administration, Communications or related field.
  • Alternatively, educational qualification with practical experiences in Client or Partner relationship management will be considered
  • Creative and innovative thinker and planner
  • Strong work ethic and healthy work perspective 
  • Familiar with SPSS, Online Survey Administration tools and CRM analytics
  • Basic knowledge of researching and extracting relevant information from a press release, annual reports and d platforms
