A company that owns a modern retail market complex is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented individual as Managing Director to head its management team.
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and implement strategies, establish systems and controls to manage the operations of the retail market complex.
REPORTS TO: The jobholder will report to the Board of Directors of the company.
REPORTING TO THE POSITION: Jobholders reporting to this position will include head, Human Resource, Head, Operations and the Accountant.
KEY DUTIES:
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve short, medium and long-term goals for the markets, including plans to improve cost-efficiency

- Prepare, submit and communicate monthly, half-yearly and annually operational tepoita iss list aeculate and timely manner to the lioind
- Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with the board, shareholders,and authorities of the markets;
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial issues that can impact on the overall performance and sustainability of the markets to the Board.
- Review and evaluate performance of Heads of departments to create and maintain effective and efficient management team.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Property; Land economy, Estate Management, Business Administration, Project/Facility Management. Master's degree is an advantage
- Extensive experience at top-level management or similar role with a minimum of seven (7) years' experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of the market setting facilities and legal framework governing the acquisition and ownership of market
SALARY: The salary attached to this position is attractive with other benefits.
