A reputable bank seeks suitable candidates to fill the following role: Head, Information Technology
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery and implementation of the Bank’s digital banking strategy
- Ensure that IT data centre and all applications in use are up-to-date, fit for purpose and run smoothly
- Develop and manage IT budget
- Ensure effective cost management in implementing IT projects
- Provide leadership in the Bank’s IT infrastructure IT projects
- Ensure that all transaction TAT’s are achieved in the various units of the department
- Lead all IT projects of the bank and provide regular reports to management and the board

- Ensure effective supervision to prevent system imbalances and ensure prompt resolution of any
- Provide leadership in identifying any inherent risks associated with processes and procedures in the department and mitigate same
- Investigate all breaches and near breaches of required regulations and report as required
- Provide guidance and recommendations on any IT risk issues to the Board and Management in order to remedy non-compliant situations
- Continually monitor the implementation and progress of action plans from the Board and management on all IT projects
- Provide periodic training for management and staff on the effective use of business applications and IT resources
- Ensure 100% compliance with all IT regulatory requirements
Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of Master’s Degree in information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 15 years work experience with 3 years in an IT Senior management role
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge in IT risk issues
- Strong network and system management skills
- Strong IT problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Data management and project management skills
- Demonstrate integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
