--> Jhpiego is seeking a Technical Specialist – IPC/WASH to provide technical guidance and support for several newly awarded COVID-19 projects. In Ghana, Jhpiego will support the Government of Ghana (GOG) to control and mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. A significant area of focus for our work is accelerating and strengthening the technical and operational capacity of local healthcare workers to reduce the spread of infection, provide quality case management and allow for the safe maintenance of routine essential services.
The Technical Specialist – IPC/WASH will be responsible for technical leadership to support in strengthening of WASH infrastructure, improving infection control and prevention practices and behaviors in health care facilities to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases amongst frontline health workers impacted and engaged in districts where COVID-19 is a high risk. Additionally, liaising with GoG staff, other partners and donors regarding technical strategy, monitoring and evaluation of project milestones and targets.
