--> The position is aimed to strengthen WHO support to AMR initiatives in Ghana in line with the Global Action Plan on AMR in the context of the one health approach. Most specifically the incumbent will support the implementation of the Structured Operational Research and Training IniTiative (SORT IT) in the country.
Objectives of the Programme and of the immediate unit or field activity (Overview of the programme):
The position is aimed to strengthen WHO support to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) initiatives in Ghana in line with the Global Action Plan on AMR in the context of the “One Health” approach. Most specifically the incumbent will support the implementation of the Structured Operational Research and Training IniTiative (SORT IT) in the country. SORT IT is a global partnership coordinated by the Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) and implemented with partners. It seeks to make countries “data rich, information rich and action rich”.
