--> The Centre Assistant at Esther's Place will serve as the main face of the Centre when clients come in. They will be responsible for ensuring that clients are able to use the Centre effectively and efficiently, and assist the Centre manager and other staff in providing a welcome, safe and enhanced experience for clients.
Essential Role/Function:
- To be responsible for the opening and closing of the facility on a daily basis
- To receive clients and visitors through the door, and serve as the first point of information for clients and potential clients
- To contribute to the performance of the centre, ensuring a clean, efficient, effective and professional service to clients, partners and stakeholders.
- To follow the processes, policies and procedures within the centre to support delivery of excellent service to clients
- To design and promote activities to meet client demand and generate revenue
- To maintain high levels of customer care, often with a particular focus on avoiding loss of existing users
- To manage schedules of maintenance, repairs and cleaning
- To carry out health and safety checks on site on a daily basis and resolve or escalate any issues
- To handle complaints and incidents, e.g. near misses, accidents, emergencies or theft
- To ensure own and staff members' training is up to date
- To cash up and keep membership records
- To use advanced management information, such as footfall and popularity of services by hour, to improve provision and timetables and cope with fluctuations in demand
- To write monthly or weekly reports for centre owners or more senior management.
- To provide a high quality phone, face to face and email service to customers, partners and stakeholders.
- To book and manage appointments, centre use times and sessions for clients and other staff members
