FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets.They started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia.So far they disbursed close to 500,000 microloans and give more than 5000 loans daily. They are backed by top notch US/EU investors and have raised 15m EUR + Venture Capital supporting our stellar growth.They are a team of 45 between Paris and Lagos in Engineering (Android, Data, Backend), Product, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations.
Job Description
Role:
FairMoney is recruiting a country launcher with a startup mindset to launch its operations in Ghana, from 0 to 1
Opportunity:
Start from 0 our subsidiary and own the venture development with high level of responsibility, many challenges & initiatives to be taken and remote coordination with our Expansion Manager. If you are doing well you could be promoted to the head of operations in the new country
Preferred Experience
Location: Ghana (Accra)
Responsibilities:
- Build a MVP of a (manual) loan product for a new market and improve it with competitive benchmarks/operations feedback
- Manage the loan process from A to Z: client acquisition (digital marketing), client selection, loan disbursement, collection - give loans manually
- Build a team to grow the volume
- Interaction with high-level stakeholders (Lending licence, partnerships, …)

- General administration of the company’s subsidiary (bank, admin, office)
- Weekly detailed reporting: loan volume, loan collection, default rate
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and willing to relocate in Ghana (Accra)
- Education : Master/MBA student from a top business school/university
- Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to get hands dirty at all times
- Data-driven and KPI-oriented approach to maximize the efficiency of all the operations
- In love with FairMoney mission to enhance access to finance for the underbanked
- Previous internships in startups, consulting, or investment banking is a plus
