Role Summary
The Certified Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Accra. The instructor will deliver instructor-led training in IT and digital skills, following approved curricula and preparing learners for industry-recognized certifications and professional roles. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering interactive classroom sessions, demonstrating tools and technologies, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback and mentoring.
The role also involves developing and updating training materials, aligning content with certification requirements and industry best practices, collaborating with other trainers and program coordinators, and supporting corporate training and workforce development initiatives. The Certified Instructor will help maintain high training standards, contribute to continuous improvement of programs, and uphold Silvadew’s mission of empowering learners through technology and innovation.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional and facilitation skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment.
- Proficiency in IT and digital skills training domains (e.g., basic to intermediate computing, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or software tools), with relevant industry-recognized certifications preferred.
- Experience designing or adapting training materials, curricula, and assessments to support practical, job-ready skill development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate diverse learners, supporting different learning styles and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple classes, cohorts, and administrative tasks.
- Comfort working with digital learning platforms, productivity tools, and online resources to enhance training delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or facilitator in IT, digital skills, or vocational education is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying current with technology trends, certification updates, and industry best practices.
