Full Job Description - Read Carefully


MAIN MISSION:

The Electrical Technician is in charge of maintaining (inspecting and adjusting) and repairing line equipment proactively according to maintenance goals to continuously improve line efficiency, optimize equipment availability, and minimize losses and risks.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Complete equipment/parts requisition to advise the stores about equipment/parts used.
  • Plan execution of job card and to adjust, inspect and repair line equipment in order to prevent future breakdowns, to maintain equipment in maximum operating condition and to prevent losses.
  • Inspect, evaluate and repair breakdown to optimise production and line efficiency and to minimise down time and costs.
  • Manufacture parts so that breakdowns are prevented, line availability is maximised and costs are minimised.
  • Manage maintenance/modification projects in order to minimise potential safety hazards, to upgrade the equipment in line with latest technology, and to improve and optimise line productivity/output.
  • Coach team members so that they are competent to operate machines, to conduct maintenance on equipment in their process area and to repair minor breakdowns.
  • Adhere to and implement safety regulations and procedures in accordance with OHS act so that a safe and clean working environment is maintained.
  • Start up line effectively together with relevant team members to prepare the line for a smooth run.
  • Discuss, delegate and monitor work allocations so that team jointly agree on, and action work activities to achieve output in the most effective manner.
  • Actively develop oneself to achieve career goals and to optimise individual and team performance/ productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Artisan/Technician: Electrical
  • 2 years of relevant technical experience in a FMCG environment
  • Artisan: Electrical – include PLC experience
  • HND/DEGREE - Electrical Trade Test

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Technical principles
  • PLC principles
  • Bottling principles and processes
  • SHE principles and procedures
