Full Job Description - Read Carefully


Role Purpose

To manage O&M outsource partners and third-party vendors to achieve business objective of cost savings and quality improvements, adhering to established governance processes and principles. The role will ensure SLAs and outsourced contracts are managed effectively on behalf of Service Assurance.

Provide data inputs and planning support for contract negotiations with vendors and outsource suppliers to introduce service delivery changes in response to Telecel Ghana’s operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer efficient delivery process and ensure timely delivery of O&M activities
  • Build and maintain good relationships with already approved old and new vendors in the O&M field and explain the expectations and responsibilities
  • Communicating with the vendors and performing the quality check, dealing with the price and improvements
  • Responsible for work orders documentation and maintenance of completed work files for audit
  • Maintain records of all orders and expected delivery date for same
  • Coordinate appropriate consideration of safety requirements with subcontracts, engineering, and operations personnel as assigned
  • Conduct safety inspections/assessments of activities to monitor compliance with applicable safety and health requirements
  • Validate vendor invoices and seek approvals for PO
  • Maintain accounting records in auditable condition
  • Liaise with Regional manage to plan planned activities and emergency repairs
  • Monitor and control Operation and Maintenance Budget in accordance with operational request
  • Ensure an effective system for processing and tracking work orders is in place; for O&M and Networks Departments
  • Communicate with technicians, operations, and other managers to ensure stakeholders are satisfied with maintenance planning
  • Responsible for data analysis and highlighting key concerns (patterns/trends)
  • Perform analysis on site fuel data with fallouts to Line Manager for attention.
  • Determining appropriate percentage compliance by vendor based on PM analysis to enhance power availability.
  • Responsibility for in-house management of 21 RDU and fibre POP sites in collaboration with RTMs and FEs to an OPEX reduction initiative

Qualification Required & Experience

Must have Technical / Professional Qualifications

  • BSc Telecommunications or related discipline/experience.
  • Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent stakeholder management
  • Detailed knowledge of Telecommunication services, operational KPI’s and processes and an in depth understanding of their relationship to the customer experiences.
  • Ability to communicate at different levels
  • Capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Strong knowledge in data analysis
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI
  • Strong competence in Excel
